Flooding a previously grey wall with colour and resonance in the acknowledgment of a heroic Liberties woman, Maser‘s portrait of Anne Devlin has people talking!
Completed yesterday on the corner of Meath Street and Carman’s Hall, this Liberties Festival 2012 commission has received an unanimously positive and joyful response from the local community and all passers-by.

A bonus event, not on our brochure, starts soon. Historian Liz Gillis leads a walking tour – ‘Republicans in the Liberties’ – departing from SICCDA, 90 Meath Street @ 3pm.
Liz’s walking tour at last year’s Festival was fantastic, and yesterday’s ‘Walk and Talk’ with Pat Liddy had over 170 people take part. So don’t miss today’s tour! Free.
The annual football match between the Traders and the Gardaí, scheduled for Wednesday July 18th @ 7.30pm, has been postponed due to circumstances beyond our control. This is the 24th year of this traditional and fun event, with the Traders leading 15 to 8, and it will be rescheduled. Our apologies for any disappointment. This post will be updated with the new date as soon as it is confirmed.
